Revell 03343 GTK Boxer (GTFz)

The Boxer is a modern Dutch-German armored personnel carrier. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created at the beginning of the 21st century, and serial production started in 2009 and is still ongoing. The Boxer is powered by an engine MTU 8V199 TE20 with 710 HP. The vehicle is armed with: 1 40mm automatic grenade launcher or 30mm autocannon and a single Spike missile launcher and a single 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun.

Work on the Boxer vehicle started in 1999 in cooperation with companies from France, Germany and Great Britain, in 2001 they were joined by Dutch companies. Ultimately, only the Netherlands and Germany remained in the project. This project resulted in the creation of a modern wheeled armored personnel carrier capable of carrying 3 crew members and 8 soldiers, with high mobility and a very high maximum speed of up to 103 km / h. The great advantage of the Boxer vehicles is also a specific modularity of its structure, which gives a lot of modernization potential and allows for increasing the versatility of the car. At present, Boxer is in service with the armies of the Netherlands, Germany and Lithuania.
