Revell 03761 Focke-Wulf Flitzer, 1/72 Scale

Focke-Wulf TL fighter “Flitzer”: The secret jet fighter of the P series returns

What would have happened if…? This question fascinates aviation historians and model makers alike. With the Focke-Wulf TL fighter “Flitzer” Revell once again opens the files of secret German aircraft projects. As the third release in the legendary “P-Series” (Prototype Series), this kit returns after a long absence – the last edition was released in 2008! Take advantage of this rare opportunity to turn this fascinating design, which never made it past the drawing board into active service, into reality as a model.

Why this “paper tiger” should not be missing from your collection

• Exclusive returns: This is the first release of this model in over 15 years. A must for collectors of the “Luftwehr ’46” theme.
• Unique design: The striking design with the double tail booms and the central jet engine distinguishes the “Flitzer” from all other fighters of its time.
• Compact project: With a clear 38 individual parts, the model is an ideal weekend project. Despite being classified as Level 4 (due to the painting and assembly), the number of parts is pleasantly manageable.
• Part of the P series: Add a piece of visionary engineering to your collection of prototypes and experimental aircraft.
• Historical “What if”: Since there are only a few original plans, this kit offers the exciting opportunity to visualize the history of technology that never took off.

The Focke-Wulf “Flitzer” impresses with its unusual aesthetics. At 1:72 scale, it fits perfectly next to well-known models such as the Me 262 or the He 162. Although the kit is classified as Level 4, the small number of parts also makes it attractive for modelers who want to venture into more sophisticated painting or “short-run”-like kits for the first time. The result is an exotic eye-catcher that will be a talking point in every showcase.

Background information

Focke-Wulf developed this single-engine fighter under the project name “Draft VI” towards the end of the Second World War. The aim was to remedy the shortcomings of the Me 262 (such as the long take-off and landing distances). Thanks to its design, the “Flitzer” should also be able to operate from shorter slopes. Although detailed plans and wind tunnel models existed, the project was halted in favor of other developments before a flyable prototype could be completed. With this model you bring the engineers’ plans to life.
